In Greek mythology, Nepenthes is a magical substance with a power to quell all sorrows.
NEPENTHES is inspired by the carnivorous plant Nepenthaceae, named after this mythical, soporific potion. The flamboyant Nepenthaceae seduce their prey with enticing interiors, sweet scents and sugary nectar. These dangerous and pleasurable properties are expressed through the sculptural contrast between the hard geometry of solid brass tendrils, and the glowing delicacy of amorphous, hand-blown glass.
