Boots Heritage

Join us as we revisit a brand-defining photoshoot from 2017, featuring the studio’s longtime collaborator and friend, photographer John Tsaivis, and Christopher Boots.

Boots and Tsiavis have been personal friends for almost 20 years. When the studio launched in 2011, Tsiavis photographed Boots’ pieces for the then-budding industrial design studio, becoming the first photographer to do so. These photos are canon within the Christopher Boots studio and marked the beginning of a legacy weaved between these two creatives.

Later, in 2017, Boots and Tsiavis collaborated on another photoshoot. With the narrative thread being so strong in their individual works, they constructed small vignettes and placed Christopher Boots’ lighting within them. These vignettes offered a peek into the stories and inspirations behind the lighting, and also served as a physical representation of the studio, with employees taking on the roles of actors and models.
